Mango Walnut Torte

A frozen delight that will please everyone, it is also quite easy to assemble.  You can change the fruits and use other flavored yogurts if you prefer.  If you don’t have a springform pan, line your pan with wax paper or aluminum foil for easier transfer once the torte is completely frozen.

Yield: 10 portions


  • 3/4 cup walnuts, finely ground
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup artificial sweetener
  • 1 cup low fat cream cheese
  • 1 cup low fat cottage cheese
  • 1 cup sugar free mango yogurt
  • 3 piece mango fruit, sliced


  1. Combine 1/2 cup of walnuts with butter and 1/4 cup of artificial sweetener and mix well.
  2. Line bottom of an 8″ round springform pan with the walnut crust mixture.
  3. Beat cheese, 1/2 cup of artificial sweetener until smooth.
  4. Divide cheese mixture into 2.  Combine 1 part with the mango yogurt and mix well.  Set aside the other portion.
  5. Spread mango cheese mixture over walnut crust and freeze until firm (about 1 hour).
  6. Top with cheese mixture and freeze until firm (about 2 hours).
  7. Top with mango slices before serving.  Alternatively, line walnut crust with mango slices before topping with cheese mixtures.
