Igan Foundation Arnold Clavio

Igan Foundation is a non profit non government organization whose mission is to help the community primarily less privileged children with sickness. In particular, Igan Foundation is focused on helping children with diabetes.

The Igan Foundation’s principal projects involve the establishment of fun and learning centers called Paraiso ni iGAN in underpriviledged hospitals. These fun Centers help improve the quality of life and provides emotional support for families of children diagnosed with diabetes as well as terminally ill diseases. In doing this mission, the foundation aims in bringing genuine smiles on the faces of poor sick and physically challenged children by giving them the reason and will to continue to survive, providing them strength and hope to continuously pursue in achieving their dreams and their goals in life. Other regular projects of the foundation included the Pamasko ni iGAN which is gift giving project for indigent children during the yuletide season and the Feed the kids programs, in selected and identified poor areas across the country. The foundation also sponsors iGAN Golf Tournament “”Fore! a Cause! Fore! the Kids!”, iGAN Badminton Challenge “Palo mo! Tulong mo!” Blood Letting “Dugtong Buhay, Isang Pag-aalay”, and “i Live” iGAN Concert in order to raise funds for the foundation.

The iGAN ng Pilipinas Foundation is the brainchild of Arnold Clavio, a.k.a. “Igan” (short for kaibigan or friend), a renowned radio and television newscaster, journalist, and a TV host GMA Network. Clavio is newscaster in popular news and services programs such as Brigada Siete, Unang Hirit, Emergency and Saksi. Igan or Arnold Clavio came with this ideas after getting moved deeply by the stories of poor children with life threatening disease he covered as a reporter of GMA News & Public Affairs. He believed that these children deserve meaningful lives in spite of the disheartening challenges. He conceived the Igan Foundation to help alleviate the sufferings of these children, inspire them to focus on fruitful possibilities and lead their journey to a better future.
