Herbal Cure for Gastrointestinal Bleeding
Gastrointestinal bleeding or the bleeding of the intestines can be caused by ulcers, varices, cancer, medications, polyps and haemorrhoids, among others. The common diagnostic test for this condition is endoscopy and/or colonoscopy. Common symptoms included black or green stools, pain in the rectum or anus upon defecating, illness, fatigue, cramping, and feeling of gas and bloating among others.
While the best solution for Gastrointestinal bleeding is to consult the doctor and get the necessary medication to correct the bleeding, there are also herbal cures that had been commonly used to stop the bleeding. One of the primary herbal cures for gastro intestinal bleeding is aloe vera juice. The juice helps in relieving intestinal inflammation, facilitates the healing of open wounds, increases tissue agility and has antiviral properties. Note that the juice must be clear and tasteless like water. Its laxative component should be removed and must be drunk with an empty stomach.
Another traditional herbal cure for the bleeding especially caused by ulcer is by drinking cabbage juice. The juice can be prepared by blending cut slices of cabbage and adding water. The taste of the juice is not appealing but is usually used to cure ulcer and hence the bleeding.
Finally, another natural remedy for gastrointestinal bleeding is fish oil supplements. The omega-3 essential fatty acids are anti inflammatory. Cod fish capsules can be taken. The oil helps treat the wounds and help prevent the internal intestinal walls from contacting each other or any other debris that can further cause scratches on the walls surface that can cause the bleeding.
