We are living at a time when we have to be fully conscious about what we eat. And the one important thing we need to add to our daily diet is fiber. Studies have shown that a diet high in fiber keeps our colons healthy, cleanses our digestive system, and discards toxins out of our body. It also helps reduce the risk of high cholesterol, high blood sugar, obesity, diabetes, and heart disease.

The beauty of fiber is that it is not so hard to find, and that it can be prepared in a number of ways. From simple fruits such as apples with their skin, bananas, melon, or oranges, to vegetables like bok choy, broccoli, carrots, peas, pepper, and spinach and cereals found in whole-wheat bread, dried oats, and brown rice, there are so many choices when it comes to eating delicious meals that are high in fiber.
