Detoxification is the process of removing toxin substances from a living organism, especially to the human body. This also pertains to the withdrawal process during which an organism like a person returns to homeostasis after long-term use of an addictive substance e.g. drugs and liquor. The process of detoxification can be achieved by many natural means such as by exercising and consuming detoxifying food.

One of the most natural and cheapest ways to detoxify the body is by drinking mineral water. The human body is made of 70% water and replenishing the water in the body is one best way to cleanse the body from toxins. However, there are other juice concoctions that one can drink to detoxify the body. Juice drinks made either of vegetables or fruits of any kind are one way to detoxify the body. However, there are more drinks that can help detoxify the body. Chief of which is lemonade juice. In the Philippines, this is comparable to calamansi juice. This helps in detoxifying the body because it contains ascorbic acid or vitamin C which assists in the cleansing process.

Buko juice is another natural detox drink because it contains natural water and minerals. Practically all types of fruits juices are effective detox drinks including mango juice, orange juice, apple juice, tomato juice and other citrus fruit drinks. Note however, that these should be naturally extracted from the natural fruit and not made of instant juices. Moreover, another effective detox drink is vegetable juice. Common vegetable juices included carrot juice.

For the more adventurous drinkers, one can concoct different juices by simply grinding and blending vegetables such as cabbage, celery, spinach, onion, garlic, and other vegetables. This may not have a pleasing taste however. Another common detox drink is the tea such as green tea.
