Baked Lemon Chicken

Create a savory roast from your ordinary whole chicken, but add a dash of flavor from herbs and lemon juice. You can also opt to roast it with some vegetables for a slightly different twist.

Yield: 4 to 6 portions

Ingredients:

  • 1 kilo whole chicken
  • 1 head garlic, crushed and peeled
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt or light soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried sage
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 piece lemon, juiced

Procedures:

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Insert garlic under chicken skin.
  3. Rub chicken with salt or light soy sauce and ground black pepper.
  4. Drizzle lemon juice over the chicken.
  5. Bake in oven for 1 hour.
